We established “Saltwater Tribe” – a locally owned business in Queensland – in 2017. Our vision is to provide like-minded ocean and conservation lovers with a fun & stylish selection of ocean inspired gifts, art and apparel that can be conveniently purchased from the one site using any smartphone, computer or tablet. We also wanted to give something back: 5% of all profit will be donated to help fund tackling marine debris.
We recognise that it is important in life to feel like you belong, and to identify with a group. The name Saltwater Tribe was chosen for that very reason: we are building our brand to connect ocean lovers together, and with the ocean.
We pride ourselves on delivering a friendly and professional service so we hope you have an enjoyable shopping experience and learn a little more about the ocean and its magnificent contribution to our lives along the way.
We hope our products bring the ocean closer to your home and your heart! So dive in and take a look at some of our quirky, fun and unique products for you and your loved ones of all ages.

OUR CAREFULLY SELECTED PRODUCT RANGE
Whilst we want to bring you novel, quirky, stylish and original items to cater for both adults and children, our products are inspired BY, but not taken FROM the ocean. We will not be selling items made from shells, or marine animal parts because these are not sustainable in the long term (we prefer to see them in situ on our regular dive trips in the ocean where they belong).
Sustainable options are selected in our supply chain where possible, and this is an area that we are committed to continually improving, so please bear with us as we expand and refine our product range. It’s a huge learning curve and we’re finding our feet as we go. We’re constantly researching ways to reduce our carbon footprint and cut out any unnecessary packaging.
As our brand grows we endeavour to increase our range and awareness of sustainable products to help support positive behavioural changes with regards to single use plastic and the throw away culture. So watch this space as we gradually grow and expand our product lines.
OUR PRODUCTS ARE INSPIRED BY, BUT NOT TAKEN FROM THE OCEAN
As we grow, we hope to reduce our carbon footprint and source a wider range of sustainable products and packaging to help support positive behavioural changes with regards to single use plastic and the throw away culture.
SUPPORTING MARINE CONSERVATION
Our business was in part established as a means to generate funds to help tackle one of the biggest current global environmental issues: Marine Debris.
We’re passionate about the ocean and its incredibly diverse inhabitants and want to help safeguard it for future generations. This is why we are thrilled to support and promote the incredible work carried out by the Tangaroa Blue Foundation (an Australian-wide, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the removal and prevention of marine debris). We will be donating 5% of our profits to Tangaroa to help with their mission of tackling marine debris and educating future generations.
As we grow, we will look to increase the percentage of profit donated to marine conservation.
